Lake Garda can be considered a “sea” in the mountains, due to its size (it is the largest lake in Italy) and the beauty of its beaches. This is why it is worthwhile to discover at least some of the most beautiful places where you can enjoy some sun and the clear waters of the lake. So here are some beaches that we recommend you visit:
Golden Beach, Desenzano del Garda
In Desenzano del Garda, on the Brescia side, there is the Spiaggia d’Oro which, as the name already suggests, is a real gem. The air is warm, the water is clear, the view is exceptional.
Baia Bianca, Manerba del Garda
The White Bay of Manerba del Garda is a small corner of the Caribbean in northern Italy. The sand on the beach was imported directly from overseas coasts, giving the setting a tropical feel.
Jamaica, Sirmione
The Sirmione beach is also called “Jamaica” by the locals, as it is very reminiscent of a tropical landscape. In fact, the shore has white stones that come out of the blue waters of the lake. Furthermore, it is also possible to glimpse the Grotte di Catullo, an ancient Roman villa that stands on the lake.
Fonte Torrente San Giovanni, Limone sul Garda
Limone sul Garda is one of the most beautiful destinations overlooking the lake, thanks to the vegetation and the wonderful spectacle that the landscape offers. There are white pebbles and the coast is connected by a lakefront, where you can find places such as bars, kiosks and restaurants .
